Horrorshowrot
Does any one or any store carry elk hair relatively close to St.Catharines? I have tried grimsby, peter's and fishing world to no avail.
Gnfshn
Grindstone Angler in Waterdown usually has a good selection of materials.
iHasFish
It's hard to find material. I recently placed an order at orvis.com for some natural trying materials and I got an email shortly after stating that due to wildlife shipping regulations they couldn't ship anything natural to me.... weird. Flyfisher
Try John's fly materials. He runs a mail order business out of London Ont., and has a great selection of materials at reasonable prices. He will ship it out to you and you will have it in your mailbox in a few days and no need to worry about customs or duty from American suppliers. Go to www.johnsflymaterials.com. Icehut
Or substitute. Nothing all that special about elk hair. Tons of dyed bucktail and other possibilities out there. Deer body hair will have different properties depending on where on the body the patch is from. I know Bass Pro carries a variety of deer, can't confirm elk, sorry. Horrorshowrot
Last time I was in BP there was no elk I will probably just use bleached deer hair and hopefully it works as well as the elk hair:)
