After fishing Gibson many times catching very few carp and observing the state of health of my last carp there , I lean towards the probability the mnr has done "something " to the system . If chemicals were dumped at the source to control (kill) grass carp the chems would likely follow the main stream , mix in back eddy's but not have as much effect on some of the back bays . They may have concentrated on the spots where they caught some grass carp more than other spots.....problem is as always , we are not informed of everything they are doing . As mentioned , dead fish killed by certain chemicals may die and rot on bottom . ...not exactly a conspiracy theory , just a concern that many of us share about the Gibson -12 Mile -Martindale system that has us carp guys stumped this year .
