Funny you brought worms up. This morning I had to clean a spilt box of worms out of our fridge. Gf wasn’t too happy.
The worms go in the beer fridge, Tyler lol

I would be interested for sure. Do you know if it is a harder or softer lead? If it is soft I am definitely interested, the mold I am using won't work too well with hard lead.
There is a mix of types of wheel weights. The stick on ones are pretty soft and flexible. Stop by Royal Auto Parts and ask for Mark. I'll be there tomorrow and maybe Wednesday. I usually only work one or two days a week there

The ice was already forming when they lowered the levels so the edges will be sketchy and they tend to get that way throughout the winter as the levels will slightly change. As for current its barely noticeable unless you're near certain areas like downtown Welland, the point in Dain City and near ES Fox in Port Robinson.

I didn't get out anywhere near often enough but the best day had to be Family Day weekend ice fishing with my wife, daughters and sons-in-law on the canal. We saw an eagle while we were setting up, the sun shone all day and we caught enough for a good dinner. Good times

While walking Merrit island we have seen Christmas trees placed in the middle of the Rec on the ice close to the end of Thorold Rd multiple yrs in a row. I figured someone was planning a bonfire or creating structure
They place those trees there as a windbreak for when they're fishing.

Dose anyone bleed their pan fish? I seen guys bleeding bigger fish(walleye, trout) but never pannies.I don't bleed my perch but I put them in the fridge for at least a day before I clean them (usually because I'm too tired from my day of paddling). There is very little blood and I find them easier to clean.

Nice day Mark.
From the trees in the photo, I’m guessing your at Dain City.
No. The water there was still stained from recent rain and I've never had luck when it's like that. Fished the north end

Back in the late '60s I recall shooting skeet and trap off Killaly on the Cement Plant property, between Westside road and Hwy #3 I believe.
Yes. That was across the street from the A&W. The buildings were there for awhile after the gun club shut down.

I grew up in Port Colborne and our house backed onto Killaly St. where the Canada Cement Plant was. I fished those quarries as soon as I was old enough to walk there. As a teenager I was gifted a canoe and a friend and I would portage it through the field to get to the quarry. Back then the water was much higher so there were islands and you could paddle under the train tracks to access either quarry. So much excellent structure for largies. On Saturday and Sunday mornings we would fish and then go around picking up all the floating beer bottles from the previous nights parties. My dad would drive the car over and help us return the bottles for pocket change which we would buy more tackle with. Great memories.

With that new subdivision behind Betty's, a lot of drivers are using Stanley to get to Lyons Creek Rd.
