Cayo Coco again and if so, which resort?
-
Turkeys are all over the South River area. First flock I saw was about 20 years ago or so.

Good news for sure!! You've picked the correct saw manufacturer just make sure you pick one big enough for the biggest job you're gonna do. You don't want to be underpowered or undersize, you're only asking for problems and an accident to happen.
-
Sorry to hear about your mishap but glad that you've recovered and are getting back at it!!

Bill, you remember the day like it was yesterday…

The closest I’ve been to a mirror was when I netted one for Smerch a few years ago at Jordan.
-
Welcome back, congratulation and hope to see you on (or near) the water!

How about a "Downtown Magnetawan" sweatshirt? That store was owned by the Raaflaub family.I went to school with some of the kids.

Yes, the Schmeler House burned but they rebuilt it and it is now a restaurant and small grocery store. It is a beautiful area that is still home to my father-in-law and my hunt camp.

Lake Cecebe? My mom lived on that lake for over 30 years!
-
The video shows that it uploaded but it can’t be seen back home?

I’m currently in New Zealand where there’s rainbows and browns in almost every body of water. Saw several like this swimming in the Mirror Lakes.

It is actually really cool driving that route and seeing it. I was first shown it about 30 years ago.

Beautiful place country up that way. You could try a different river/lake/stream every day for a month and not travel more than an hour!

"Chinese fire drill" One reels in the fish and the other goes tumbling down the hill with the net.
That hill would be a little slick given the conditions we’ve had lately!! It’s a short but steep little climb. I know it’s fun with a canoe at that spot.

That's a great trip right there! Where in Cuba were you Dave?

Happy New Year Mark, all the best in 2024!

Well done Mark! Met you on the ice once in Dain City. Maybe we can get another NFN meet and greet going at some point. -
I'm super excited for you Tyler!
Your fishing opportunities just expanded incredibly!! You will be almost on the doorstep of Algonquin Park with so many backwater opportunities plus the amazing Ottawa River fishery that you are familiar with. My grandparents used to have a cottage on White Lake which is also a very rich fishery, then you have the Mississippi River system.
There are moose up that way so there is definitely an opportunity there. When you start asking questions about firearms you will get SO many opinions. I belong to a couple of different forums and these discussions sometimes get quite heated. In reality what you would need to get started would be a plinker .22, a workhorse shotgun, I'd stick with a 12 gauge and a big game rifle. I would go with a tried a trusted well known cartridge like .308 or 30-06 as you can find the ammo anywhere and it has been around forever. Yes there are "better" options for different situations but these two will get the job done in virtually any situation if you know your limitations. That's just a starter without getting into brand comparisons.

I hear ya Bill, watch out for the sun guys. I get treatments every six months and also have cream for affected areas in between treatments.
Take care Bill and hope you heal well.
