My first time going out to one of these. Picked up some real good stuff! Cheers to the vendors and everyone who put it on… Excited to try the drop shot weights I got from big ugli! 
 

Are there any more swap meets like this that ever happen in the area?

Yeah I’ve actually looked at those as well. They’re definitely neat. 

Saw an ad for a Seahawk 4 for sale at Cabelas and I’m considering buying it Just don’t know if it’s going to be comfortable fishing in.
 

I live in an apartment so as much as I’d like to buy one storing a kayak or canoe would be too much of a pain, this seems like it could be a decent alternative to get me and my GF out on the water.

I frequent St Johns for quick trips after work around bass opener usually but pretty early in the summer it gets pretty sludged up and unfishable until fall.

Chippawa creek conservation area has a pond that’s is chocked full of bluegill and has docks similar to St Johns. The only downside there is you gotta pay to get in and it gets busy on the weekends.

I had one on me when I was at CDP, so far that was it… My GF has got them just from sitting in her yard though…

Nope, didn’t have anything to measure… Wasn’t huge, maybe 20inches.

Caught my first pike. I usually go for bass and pannies but I’m getting bored waiting for bass season to open lol. Fun fish…

Nice pictures. I found my moms old film camera from the 80s last summer and shot a couple rolls. Still haven’t got them developed, but hopefully they’ll turn out alright. 
 

Shooting film is fun but like you said it’s ‘spensive…

Has to be my trip up to Huntsville with my GF and cousin. Stayed at a little cabin on a almost private lake (maybe one or two cottages on it) and caught loads of smallies.
 

As far as in Niagara goes, I fished the 12 mile for the first time this year with a buddy. Brutal hike in but I had lots of bass action.

Overall nothing special, but I only started fishing seriously last august so it was a good year of learning techniques…

Had to replace my battery on my Golf a couple months ago. Turns out it was the original from 2013 when the car was originally sold. 
 

Got the same VW OEM one put in, hopefully it’ll last another 7 years… lol

I was about to make plans yesterday to fish after work, but then I remembered it’ll be getting dark by the time I go grab my gear and get to the spot so I had to just settle for a walk in the woods…

I think a lot of people get DST and Standard time mixed up, I know I do sometimes. I like the one that gives us more sunlight in the evenings lol… I’m only ever up around sunrise for weekend fishing trips or if work demands me to anyways.

Is the current and water level in there just controlled by the dam by Decew? Tried it for the first time last week and the water level was low and the current slower and it was probably my best trip all year for bass. Tried again the water level was way higher and harder to fish…

The last couple weeks has been a grind for sure but this summers been good for me.

If you’re talking about the ones I’m thinking of (Wainfleet Wetlands) I’ve fished those quarries a few times now. Last year I caught a couple dink largemouth I also hooked what I believe was a small pike on a texas rig but it snapped off before I could land it. Seen some carp cruising around too. 
 

In the early spring I was catching really nice sized bluegill and rockbass but last time I went the panfish were all tiny.
 

If you’re trying to get away from the weeds I don’t know if it’s what you’re looking for. I pretty much only throw weedless in there. 
 

How is the fishing around Sugarloaf? Been meaning to check it out sometime…

The only thing I’ve been catching them on lately is a texas rigged green pumpkin senko and the ewg ned rig. My buddy catches a lot on the drop shot with a finesse worm on it. For some reason I just can’t get them to bite a moving bait… 
 

Haven’t really found a place that produces consistently, but when going from shore I find it easier to fish on smaller bodies of water. Just gotta fish a weedless presentation.

I’ll also add peters is my go to place, I find they have the best selection/knowledge.
 

I do buy fishing gear online when they don’t have what I’m looking for. I’ll warn you not to buy from American sites. I’ve been hit with fees/duties twice now and it’s brutal. 

Just starting to catch some bass. Been fishing around Thorold mainly.
 

Only been able to get em on the texas rig senko and ned. Nothing huge though…

I got a dashcam about a year ago and I highly recommend it. Only ever had to use it once when someone tried merging into me on Westchester but I couldn’t imagine not having it. Its nice because it’s always recording and just writes over the old footage on the SD card. Also has a parking mode that records when someone bumps the car.

Hoping to get up north this summer, it's been a while...

It's not just a problem with anglers leaving trash, everybody seems to do it, look at what happened at Trinity Bellwoods park over the weekend in toronto... 

I'll never understand what goes through someone's head to leave trash around the water way they use for enjoyment. Just pure ignorance. I find pretty much every time I go to a somewhat popular fishing spot It's littered with line/tackle/worm buckets/beer cans. It's a shame because I know the majority of anglers care quite a bit for the environment, but its the select few who are ruining it for the rest of us...

I try to pick up litter when I can especially line and hooks because I know how much damage it can do to the local wildlife but there's only so much we can do to combat these pigs...

I caught a couple so far this year. Nothing sizeable...

I was wondering about that, never trout fished and figured it would be a good chance to tick the species off my list but I was unsure about the regulations and ethics of releasing stocked trout as I don't intend on eating them.
