AwolRJ Posted June 25, 2007 Report Share Posted June 25, 2007 Well I been working nights doin security at bissels, not much time to fish, but my dad picked up 2 big jon downriggers and we installed em last weekend. We launched tonight at crystal beach and trolled in 50-60 ft, 175 ft back. Lake was calm and empty tonight atleast on this end, must be ppl are chasing the bass. This fish didn't even pop the release on the ball, Reeled her in and I kept sayin I think I got a lil one, but then it saw the boat and took a little run and got my blood pumpin. I wouldnt of mind gettin into some more, but one 10 plus pounder made my night. Weighed a lil over 10 on my old spring scale, 32 inches. I wish my Dad was around to see those big Erie eyes on his line ! That fish would go 12 lbs .during the spawn , and it looks like it's about a long as the little ones in the second picture !
