I was given one for Christmas and gave it a pretty good breaking in over the holidays. I'm thrilled with it.

As Sirfishalot mentioned, it's D.O.T. approved so it's safe for use.

Beside the safety aspect, the next biggest advantage is how warm it keeps you during these cold winter months of fishing. I still haven't used it in extreme minus temps yet (or on the hardwater), but I imagine if you layer properly, you'd stay nice and warm in it.

The only drawback I can think of is that it may be a tad on the bulky side, but I feel like that's a feature inherent in almost any make of floater suit. I've actually been wearing a fly vest under it a lot of the times, which in hindsight, probably contributed to much of the bulkiness. It's actually very comfortable if you're only wearing a sweater under it.

I have no idea how long it will keep you afloat if you happened to fall in/through, but come summer time, I plan on testing it out in my pool to get some sort of base line.

$200...the cheapest life insurance, not to mention floater suit, you'll ever find.

Here are a couple pictures:

It's good to have a ZIPPER ! I have the coat only & my snow pants are ZIP-LESS <_< .....no fun for the boys on those cool windy days ! And a hood on the coat is another good thing which I miss . I wear a medium coat size but get a size up to allow extra layers under it . One drawback from wearing an extra size up in the one piece is the leg length may be an extra foot or two too long for us guys with stumps for legs . When shopping for one ,try it on while wearing a jacket & check to see if there's a zipper for the legs to go over or inside the boots that you will be wearing with the suit. And don't test it in the cold weather ........ :coldsmiley:

Sirfish.......it's actually $199.99 , which in laymans language is $ 226.00 .......with a penny tip B) ( or one bottle of Jack Daniels extra) lol

i bought the exact same suit at ct years ago and it is awesome. ive worn it many times on lake erie ice and when totally done up and the hood pulled over your head if you keep your back to the wind you dont even feel it. also great to wear in the boat in early spring and late fall or fishing the lower. also keeps me mighty warm while im out on the picket line
