We had a good downpour last night , should be some puddle water for the birds and varmits .

Birthday suit ?   I'll get the video camera out & send it to "Just for Laffs"  & the neighbours will cheer for you !  :clapping:

Many folks are enjoying nature more , that's one good thing about the aftermath of the c -one-nine fiasco . Many people installed pools and gardens in their yards and now enjoy watching the birds and bees visiting their new found sanctuaries .

BTW your JITBS plant looks like it's still doing well .

I'm hoping to toss a few worms before they croak from old age at Port tomorrow ..... I need a little tune up before I lose my upper story !   :Gonefishing:

I went to fish Renne around 11 am for about 1.5 hours this morning, surprisingly fish were surfacing after we chummed but not one hit!  Not one touch on the hair rig....

  2. Hi,

Has anybody fished the Grand this year in Fergus, the section that I am referring to is from the dam  to the hydro lines.  Went there last year three times and haven't seen one trout rise!

    Was there a die off?

  3. Its Saugeen River, been going up there to fish the opener for the last 25 years, kind of a tradition to hang out with friends.  Less people every year due to high prices of travelling and fewer fish, gas alone cost me $160 for a round trip....

Unlike the US, CAN stocks very little fish in rivers and relies mostly on natural reproduction.

  4. That's my neck of the woods, river is dirty right now and fishing is tough....If you guys wanna go, wait a few more weeks, around third week of April but fishing will be good until June.  City Marina in Windsor is good for perch right now, but pressure from shore is heavy! Got my limit their two weeks ago.

I will let you guys know when the fishing is good, maybe I can meet you in Windsor or even drive up with you.  I got tons of places we can stay the night for free but we have to take one of the local guides fishing with us lol....Bait, Boat Launch and accommodations are free....I drive up there every two months to visit my parents and leave the kids with them!

I assume that was to say Cripp’s.

Are the trails closed too?  Or just the shore from Cripps down to Pebbly?

Trails are open but I guess you are not allowed to go down to the water, Cripps to ledge is closed since I don't think they know that trail lol.....The police did not kick me out, just two park employees equipped with a whistle and a radio lol...I am sure if I did not leave, they would call the park police.

  6. I was booted from fishing the Glen at the ledge this Sunday around 10:00 am by Niagara Parks Commission employees.  The informed me that you can only fish from Crispy eddy and up!

Any idea how to fight this?  Area is posted with no trespassing signs, been fishing their for 30 years.

The closer comes as a result of tourists getting injured during the covid lock downs.
