Gil
So what is your most productive worm harness color.? Blades and beads!? So many possibilities it's mind boggling!

smerchly
Double blades or single Gil ? Depending on water clarity , or depth and size of blades ,and shape of blades ....yep , mind boggling ! Many colour names are fisherman colours , like monkey puke LOL ! I keep it simple , mostly use yellows , greens and silver blades . At Quinte my choice is a yellow willow leaf blade with a streak of orange with tapered orange beads and 2 hooks . In clear water I prefer to start with silver blades , imitating a minnow . Too many colours - too much time changing up !
deetch
Gil, very generic question as Lake Erie/ Bay of Quinte or smaller northern lakes all have different patterns for different months and even weeks.
Lundtastic
Hammer copper watermellon. Erie. Year after year. Maybe purple and black as an early season strong second.
shoemaker
Could write a book on this topic! As was stated, water clarity, time of day ,sun or cloud, windy or calm. All these and conditions and many more come into play .its all part of the fun of it tho !
shoemaker
Northern tea stained lakes I have had good luck with fire tiger blades and silver or gold single hook harnesses. Hammered finish also works well
bigugli
Depends on food base, water colour and time of day/season. That's why I tie a hundred different patterns.
