    I found 11 one day then the next day 4 but a couple small pike rolled in and it doo-doo down....went back a few days later skunked a couple times in a row and that was it for attempting crappies ....

    Did you have permission to be on the property or is it crown land? Some guys get really pissed if your tresspassing on their property ....and they could have your picture on trail camera too ...especially if they have feeders out there...idiots steal hunters stands ...cameras ..feeders all the time..its brutal when the gear cost so much money and random people help themselves to it....if its on crown land then its the hunters stupidity for leavin it out there really I.M.O.

    Posting a pic of my cousin's biggest through the ice outta Diefenbaker lake Saskatchewan....fish was officially 45 7/8" and it came in at 22.4lb...so your telling me that an extra 8" in length and some girth amounts to an extra 14lbs?

    Just have a rapala Digi about 8 yrs old ...if anything I think it would read more weight if it wasn't working right no?I rarely weigh pike anyways but it was fairly big and i was curious

    Back at it this morning with bobber and minnows and managed a beauty pike at 37 3/4 " and 7.8 lbs...took me for a few zings on the 6 ft with 6 lb test...and some a$$hoe stripped a bunch of wire and left the coverings there🤬

    Not familiar with flytying equipment but i know amazon.ca has them i believe anywhere from 20$- 120 $ im assuming basic to high quality but again not sure .ive seen all kinds of fly tying stuff on there.

    I have an old school set I tried selling at a yard sale and they didn't sell 20$ is what I asked .the wire is worth more than that .you'd have to make the mounting brackets as they were plastic and broke but that's easy enough

    Could u possibly tell me whether u were using jets and harnesses and if u caught up high or near bottom ? Taking my daughter out in the morning and would love to getter on some fish . thanks for the help.! Greatly appreciated ?

      We were using 20 jet, and harnesses, however yesterday we seemed to be in the wrong spot they were getting them in front of pc just a bit west of the mouth of the canal.

    Hey mooseslayer are u turkey hunting where u deer hunt and do u have a white ford pick up.if so just wanted to apologize.i walked into the corn field to call for birds and someone was there calling back to me whenever I would call .when I left and drove around corner I saw the truck

      I haven't been out yet but I do hunt there. Guys hunting there are usually on Cytec property without permission but nothing I can do. It is bows only zone but had to big gobs shot with shotgun a couple years ago. It is frustrating.

      Ok ya I had a crossbow.i was just doing a quick half hour hunt on my way home from work. As soon as I called someone wailed on a box call like an idiot and I thought wow that sounds stupid so I called again and they did it again so I left .no intentions of ruining anyone's hunt.i seen three trucks and two ground blinds in behind heartland forest which I thought was protected also

    Yes sir my daughter is my number one fishing partner.unfortunately that doesn't help the gas bill but I've never heard her complain once about wind ,rain, waves , heat, slow bite .she can run lines like a champ with exception to the weight of the equipment , dipseys ,netting , riggers ,planers but she's learning to make it easier on herself with the rod holders and drags etc... No better feeling than seeing them bring in a nice fish and you see the excitement in there face.and then they go home and tell your wife they outfished ya !

    Got out for a sit this morning . about 615 a big Buck came into salt and apples 

    Could only see his rack moving around and he walked out before shooting light.back out this evening by 4 to hopefully get a crack at him.

    How goes the deer hunting mooseslayer ? I've seen 4 different bucks at the south side of that bush right before dark .one ten point and not sure of the rest but they smaller.anyways good luck .I'm getting two monsters on my cams at night but that's it no day photos .lots of does and fawns coming through during the day though

      I take brown Rd on way home all the time .u still on North side of that bush?I just pull over and watch with binoculars .ten minutes before dark I see them come out on bush line

      Salt and apples have been key for buck pics but as it gets into last week of October they usually stop hitting bait and start sniffing tail 

      PS u cannot touch the apples at all .I use a shovel and a pail.i shake pail when I walk in to put apples down and so far twice they came in less then half hour after dark .

      I am in the middle of that bush...more to Brown rd side now. Not hunting it much yet this year. I don't have any apples there but I do at another spot in Fonthill. They aren't hitting them as much as last year.. I have salt out all tear as well. Need some cool weather and the rut to get them moving.

    Same here buddy . Getting a bunch but small.only 3 over 5 lbs and one nine.the rest 2-3 lb
