I work nights ....keeping myself up for a while so I can readjust to nights mode after the weekend.....was going to go fishing today and realized there was a fatal flaw in my plan....lol......where I was headed, if I actually caught one.....i don't have a net long enough to land one there 😱....and see as how I wasn't smart enough to make plans with a partner or two ahead of time...spent the day not fishing and actually got some crap done around the house instead....thought it might be fun if we took turns to build a funny story for this festive season....I will start....feel free to help me out and build......    Twas the night before Fishmas and all through the house,... Not a creature was stirring...not even a rattling top water mouse......

Nice...my best day ever for that was 17 Lakers and 8 steelies in the mix....all on white twisters....too bad that particular spot will never be the same after the tunnel project keeps the river high all the time....but I bet you where at least blocked from the wind

Sure was ..it was getting pretty nasty by the time we left... All part of the adventure Bill..despite it was still nice to get out with you for a few hundred casts...lol...we are due for one in the net..0 for 2 for you and 0 for 1 for me so far...not bad considering one day was pre big snowstorm and today was the gales of November for sure...shoot me a message next time you plan to get out and we will put a beating on the fish

Haha.....worked for me today.....I was going to wear my lucky camouflage jacket for today....I looked in the closet...couldn't see it......haha....don't worry Bill underneath all the woolies I had my lucky pink thong on.......and to the Bigugly.....I was going through some pics a while back....and Emily who is 19 now still remembers you as " Santa"....

Pike is good eats if you do the ole 5 fillet way....that one was a bit chunky for the size of it....basically go in behind the head and pectoral fin down to the back pectoral fin and stop there...flip and repeat.....then go from the back pectoral fin to the tail on both sides.....run from back of the head on top when your knife hits the spine....run the knife down to the tail......best way to do a pike....I hate bones in my dinner....well except for gnawing the crap out of a big T bone...ive known Bill for over 15 years....best video you might get out of him Tyler is a picture of his dinner....lol....and I do believe the time I fished with you Bill and you got the eel.....you also got a couple good solid perch.....we both got perch around 15 inches....you got some cats....and I had something big break me off

Geesh....thanks alot Bill...I was going to embellish that one a few inches...lol.....it's was well worth the 3 sinkers...4 streamers ...2 corkies....3 minnows I stole off you and  the twoonie to appease the parking meter guy...haha...

Had the pleasure of getting out with smerch today after what seems to be forever. We headed out with the thoughts of multi species possibilities for the morning....a bit of floating around some minnows...fishing the bottom...and a bit of bottom bouncing in hopes of a trout a pike a perch or anything else that might bite for that matter...we spent a few hours giving it a go with no success...then I finally pulled one out of a hat. I think the sudden cold snap and weird weather today may have had them turned off a bit.... Let the cold water season begin!!!...lol.. Always a pleasure Bill..thanks for the pick up and the minnows and of course the good company. We will have to get out again soon

Some nice chunk steelies there...time for me to stock up on some supplies....shoot me a message if you are going to get out Bill, I'm off next couple of days

Out of curiosity I tried to look up my old profile to see when I first joined in on this site....2006....so that's 16 years off and on best I can tell...and 4590 posts on that profile.....so I'm guessing there really are some good people and fish stories to share along the way...haha...that means I have almost 6000 posts on here.....oh man ...I need a hobby....I should take up fishing or something....lol

I just look for and endangered shore bird to come by...tie a rock on the end...toss it over in hopes it will get tangled up and try to fly away...haha...

Not like that's a secret spot or anything...lol...it must be all your fault that there's 200 trailers at that launch in the summer too then....lol

Will let you know if I happen to get out and find any minners...haven't had much of a chance to get out....no wheels in the morning...I'm off at 630.. but soon as I pull in....the woman takes the car for all things...to work...lol... Wednesday morn and weekends being the exception for now.......might have to break down and buy some worms for the minnow hunt ...lol.
