Walleyemike
Hi all, was wondering what south winds are like on Lake Ontario to fish in, I'm an Erie guy. Thanks
Saugeen85
For south shore it will be like glass! Good luck!!
Surf and Turf
South and Southwest winds are perfect for the this end of Lake Ontario. Planning on hitting Ontario tomorrow to try for some browns because looking choppy for Erie.

deetch
Whatever is not good for Erie is usually good for Ontario unless they are strong East or West
Fish Farmer
Remember south wind brings in cold water close to shore. I was fishing wednesday and wind was light from east and temp was 38 to 39 close to shore and muddy.
Walleyemike
Water was really dirty, temp was 40 in close. We marked some fish towards jordan but no takers.
smerchly
We have had some heavy downpours tonight ....more to come . I have been waiting for the mud to settle down but the streams will be spewing more chocolate for days to come ..... This side of L.Ont gets lots of runoff from the creeks . We used florescent orange Raps for this back in the 80's , and we had some success .....Any one remember the Fire Plug by Luhr Jenson ? We used red ones in the brown water . http://www.ifish.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/83612
deetch
You sure do bring back good memories of when Spring fishing was outstanding. No downriggers or dipseys, just flatlines, small 16 ft boats, Campbells marine.
