The donkeys just keep chasing the "biggest carrot" . But if you know anything about carrots, the bigguns really don't taste that good

The public can whine and complain all they want.. Come election time, all it takes is a carrot in front of their noses and the donkeys/voters will vote in the crooks, con artists, . and carpetbaggers

Modern medicine want to collect money and write scripts. Every time there is a new med, I get a call from the clinic. Goes like this. "We like you to come in for a talk about a new "product/med" that shows real promise/benefits/improvements from the medications you are on now" You all know the ones. They spend millions on advertising campaigns, and probably just as much in kickbacks.

Weather has benn up and down like a yo-yo since October.

Couple years back over 100 got stranded out from Ohio. A semi- regular occurence.

Sometimes too busy so it gets in the way of fishing.

My 2 best crappie spots got posted last year.

Snow banks are as tall as me now. Would take more than a couple of 40lb bags.

We have nowheres to put the snow in our driveway. We have to push it out to the street, just so the plow can push it back in the driveway

I'll be horizontal.

In the course of a year the family goes through 50-60. We fish a lot of tangled structure and timber. Especially for crappie.

Still a through line slip float. Just have some folks who like the extra indicator on top.

I make a few hundred every year.

I know that we are in the middle of winter, but it won't be long before I'll be chasing spring pannies. Gotta rebuild my float supply.

That's why we take it in shifts. Still have the back 1/2 of our driveway to clear, but no one is hurting bad from the workout. The snowpile extends 6' into the street.

We are finally dug out to the road. Our problem was a lack of dumping space for the snow.

We got a solid 24" or more. I'm just doing so much shovelling at a time. I don't mind, but the joints aren't what they were. Should be finished some time tomorrow.

Sure looks like a good old fashioned winter at the moment.

The clan is not keen on me going without a buddy. Especially solo trips up North.
