We have 2 more area shows in March. Ft Erie on the 12th, and Ancaster on the 25th

We had a right pleasant day at the NFTS. Lots of people. Even better to see some very familiar, and new, faces during the day. Thank you to all who came out and supported us.

I don't actually use the "S" name. I prefer Dickens when he refers to "the spirit of Christmas present" or some of the old world names given to the legend. The modern Santa Claus was created by an ad man and an illustrator to make a modern homogenized character for the new world. Borrowing from a number of legends and traditions. Lending itself readily tp marketing and consumerism.

You are preaching to the wrong people, I think. For one, I am both a farmer and manufacturer. Folks pay through the nose to eat take out crap, but get right niggardly when buying fresh produce. I grow what I eat and what I don't grow, at least is produced on this continent. Want a real farce??? GT doesn't even have to tell you where their own label packaged foods come from. The package will say produced/packaged for GT. Secondly, I have been producing tackle for 20 years. I prefer to buy N American components. Getting harder to do as my suppliers ship their production to Asia or close their doors. A lot of so called Canadian companies have their product manufactured in Asia and still put a great big Maple Leaf on the pkg.

Sadly I lost track of Dave a couple of years back. Even then he was having some health issues. Not likely to find an obit. His relationship with his parents was somewhat stormy, but he was in close contact with his sister.

Gotta shop at local stores and home grown tackle makers. Keep the businesses here alive instead of making Asia richer. Hey Smerchly, Rapala is slowly closing all their plants in Finland. Everybody is moving production to Asia.

Wind just keeps filling our yard. Last Tuesday was a great fishing day. Everything since has sucked.

Limited shore access that does not give me a line of sight to fish the ledge. Also a lot easier on the hips if I don't have to climb the slopes.

Was pure and simple fun. A fish every minute on the line, and a meal's worth to show at the end of the day. THe day after was a perch bite.

Bite starting to get good.

I hear you. I'm tired of the Toronto invasion. Much more, and I'll leave for the north country before it's too late.

This isn't the first time they've tried running a commuter service from St Catharines to Toronto. All previous efforts were financial failures. Without seeing a real plan with substance to address a number of key issues. I expect a fairly similar result.
