Darryl, that is one ugly ‘yote.
almost looks like a cross between a red fox and a coyote.
they’re all over the place this year, along with raccoons.
Yes we are seeing a ton of raccoons as well. Have to keep a .22 with me from now on. Too expensive wrecking bolts and broadheads on coyotes

Nice kill. What type of gun do you shoot yotes with?
I was fishing Welland today and there was a coyote right beside someone’s house sitting on a hill.
That was with a cross bow. I was deer hunting so that's what I had with me. Put a good hole through him and he didn't make it very far.

Well thats always a concern. You can disable them via the app, but you still don’t get your camera back.
My unit also contains a built in gps so you can tell where it is if its turned on.For tactacam you can get a custom steel case that the camera fits into and locks to the tree with one of those locking cables. Even with cable cutters its a workout to cut them down. The price of that steel case is quite reasonable, in the 30 buck range.
Hey mark what sensitivity do you keep camera on to prevent blowing branches etc from setting it off ?
-
The good thing with these are that the camera will pick up the potential thief before it sees the camera so you will get a few photos sent to you of the suspect. Plus if you live close like me I can be over at my spot fairly quickly to try and intercept them

Mark did you have issues setting up payment. Got camera, set up account but wont let me add payment method?

We had some anti hunters put up "no trespassing" and " no hunting" signs all over our property last year, which is private property ! They were ripped down immediately and we were hoping they returned during the hunt but It didn't happen.

40km/h is too slow. I don't mind the speed cameras at problematic locations but if everyone was doing 40 it would take forever to get anywhere. I could ride a bike faster than that

I'm not a big fan of hunting until it gets nice and cold. We had a couple times when we shot deer early and it was 20 plus degrees with flies all over the meat. November December is my time once fishing slows down and it's nice and cool enough to hang the meat etc...Good luck!

Looks like the unlimited plan is the way to go especially if only using them for a few months

Yea, i bought the basic monthly plan to start. You only pay for the months you use it and the tactacam app makes it really simple to elevate your plan or suspend your account when you dont have it out in the field- therefore not getting charged. As soon as you want to use it again you just re-enable the account, again in the app.
Works on both US major carriers - there’s 2 sim cards in the box.
For all of canada you use the AT&T card.Great info thanks. Was just looking to purchase online but was worried when I only saw US networks. Do you recall how much the plans are? Definitely gonna grab one

Looking at purchasing one as well. Do you pay the monthly fee so the pictures are sent to your phone. So much better than trekking through the woods,.contaminating area with scent, and swapping out SD cards

So I went to the 'dollar' store to get a few things and grabbed my usual pack of 10 mini size Coffee Crisp chocolate bars ....usually take one in my fishing bag for an energy boost . My wife opened the pack and placed them on a plate . I asked her if she ate one as I saw nine bars left ....no she said . I checked the package , and it said ..."9 bars" ! They have downsized my treats !! Time for payback , as I like the word 'boycott' . We don't get 10% raises so they will get zero from my wallet .
They are sneaky when they downsize and some up the price as well . I hope they can't downsize my bananas , I know one pound is 58 cents !
These higher prices are infriging on our fishing gear purchases !
Fishing tomorrow with 'free' worms !
With all this money you are saving In a couple years you will be able to afford a new Electric vehicle ! Trudeau will be proud of you. How many Carp rods can you fit in a Tesla?

I can't open either

That 's what happened to me at Quinte a few years back . I know the carp were there but were shy to come out from the weeds .....probably needed to chum more .
I found this old picture today .....I decided to rig up my 80's Fenwick 8' custom salmon rod paired with a D.A.M. Quick 440 spinning rod and had some luck . That old rod & reel has withstood the test of time very well , and still is ready for more action .
I hope to get out soon , been house bound for 2 weeks as my gut drugs have wreaked havoc on this old codger ....
Get well soon!

We got out late in the afternoon.....................Didn't catch a thing, other than some gobies......................But it was still nice to be out on Canada Day...............
Were you marking much? Other sites were saying giant schools of walleye near central basin, Maitland etc

Also if you click on all the social media links on the bottom, none of them exist

Very tempting but I'll pass. Every product has a 5 star rating but no reviews, also zero customer service numbers or email address to speak with a real person. 2000$ Hummingbird unit for 78 bucks? Should have made it a little more realistic at least

My wife has Facebook and is part of a Costco group. F A lot of people are cancelling their memberships because there isn't a whole lot of savings compared to years past. The gas used to consistently be 10 to 15 cents a liter cheaper, now it's really only 2 or 3 cents less than the Husky near me. Costco had raised their prices far behind "regular inflation"
