The tackle swap meet was fantastic.  Bought a few items and attended all 3 seminars.  Had a great day.

Golden Horseshoe Outdoors Club Perch fishing derby results held at 50 Pt.
1st was $891 2nd $415 3rd $297 4th $200 5th $105 50/50 was $585 In all 213 fishers .

I heard west maitland docks are out , east side I'm not sure .

GHOC Perch Derby held at 50 PT. Was a great day and largest turnout ever. Weather was great and everyone had a great time. The pictures will show the results.

So last Thursday I took the boat back to Dunnville, nothing unusual about that.
However this time was very different. Just prior to Covid I reconnected with my childhood friend and neighbour and now post Covid we finally managed to go fshing together, again after a 45 year gap. The fishing post cold front was not stellar but the day, the memories, the conversation.....well in short everything was quite special for both of us.

While the post cold front Walleye would not come out to play with us, the Sheephead finally showed mid morning when the water warmed one full degree F*

The post fishing trip ended with my usual stop at the Country Chip Wagon where my friend (Chris) was happy to treat me to a late lunch.

For me it's never the fish count, it's the memories created and those revisited. 🙂

We had an enjoyable afternoon the other day at Fireman's Park......................Our grandson caught his first, ever''''  He was excited, to say the least..................

I finally had a window of decent weather to take my daughter, her pup as well as my pup. This was my boys first time in the boat and he enjoyed it thoroughly. The target, big Channel Cats. Sadly the big girls didn't come out to play. We weren't fishing 5 minutes when we were into a double header, my daughter's was a Cat and mine a was Bowfin. The next 30 minutes was constant action but few fish over the gunnels. The end result for a few hours of fishing was, 1 Cat, 2 Bowfin, 1 Pumpkinseed and and a scruffy Northern.
